Animal migrants, e.g., migratory birds, migratory ungulates, may use sending, receiving, and spillover systems during different times of the year. Migration affects ecosystem processes and environmental sustainability. Because migrants may spread diseases and consume on crops, they may also affect socioeconomic sustainability.
